The center with exhibits on natural history and botany is set up with
children in mind. Children of all ages will enjoy the hands-on view of
nature. Kids can unearth “dinosaur skeletons” from a sand pit and see
dinosaur tracks, which are estimated to be 99 million years old. Open
Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Admission is free.

city. On th edge of the Hill Country, it offers visitors a close-up
view of exotic and domestic animals.

Between April and October, take a blanket and picnic dinner, and enjoy
the spectacle of the Congress Avenue Bats as they begin taking flight.
As many as 1.5 million Mexican free-tails make their home in the
crevices of the bridge.

Relive the pages of Texas history at the interactive exhibits,
artifacts, IMAX Theatre. The building echoes the nearby capitol in

chronicles the development of energy. It also houses temporary
exhibits, borrowing art and artifacts from around the state.
